Jill’s Training

Jill trained intensively as a shiatsu practitioner over the course of 11 years , beginning in 1982, with Bill palmer who founded SEED ( School for experimental education).

She also did further training with Clifford Andrews (founder of The Shiatsu Centre, Norwich), Michael Rose ( founder of the KiKai Shiatsu School),  Rex LaSalle ( founder of the Hara shiatsu school ) and with the British School of Shiatsu and The European school of Oriental Therapy and Movement.

Whilst in London in the 80s and 90s she was the resident Shiatsu therapist at TVAM and The Actors Centre , was one of the first practitioners to be a member of The Walk- In Backrub in Neals Yard,Covent Garden and built up a successful private practice .

Here, in Cornwall she has a loyal and on going private clientele . She worked for many years as the shiatsu practitioner at Charlestown Health Centre and co founded The Back-Rub team  who offer seated treatments at The Eden Project , festivals and events.

She is also a second Degree Reiki Practitioner and has an Indian Head Massage qualification.

 

Equine Shiatsu Training

Having been a shiatsu practitioner for people for over 30 years, Jill decided to combine the skill with her lifelong love of horses and train as an Equine shiatsu practitioner.

She qualified with The School of Equine Shiatsu in Sussex under the expert guidance of shiatsu Master Jill Blake who was a pupil of the late Pamela Hannay, the pioneer of Equine shiatsu in this country.

Jill’s qualification is recognised by TESA… The Equine Shiatsu Association
